Junior Golf Club Size Guide by Height
Children grow quickly, so club size should follow height rather than age. Use this as a starting point, then check with a PGA professional or club fitter.
| Player height | Typical age | What to look for |
|---|---|---|
| Under 110 cm | About 4 to 5 | Shortest, lightest starter clubs; fun-first equipment |
| 110 to 125 cm | About 5 to 7 | Small starter set with a putter and a couple of irons |
| 125 to 140 cm | About 7 to 10 | Junior set with driver or hybrid, irons, wedge and putter |
| 140 to 155 cm | About 10 to 13 | Longer junior set, with attention to shaft flex |
| 155 cm and above | About 12+ | Transition to adult-length clubs, ideally after a fitting |
Indicative guide only. Height bands and ages vary between brands and between children. When in doubt, ask a coach.

Junior golf equipment: common questions
What size golf clubs does my child need?
Junior club size is based mainly on height, not age. As a rough guide, children under about 110 cm use the shortest sets, and each step up in height needs longer clubs. A coach or fitter can confirm the right length.
When will the FamilyGolf.club junior golf shop open?
The shop is in preparation. Join the early-access list on this page and we will email you when the first collection is available.
Do you ship across Europe?
FamilyGolf.club is built for families across Europe. Shipping countries and delivery times will be published before launch.
Should my child buy a full set of golf clubs?
Not at first. Most beginners are well served by three to five clubs, such as a driver or hybrid, a mid-iron, a wedge and a putter, before moving to a larger set as they grow.
Is junior golf apparel different from adult golf clothing?
Junior golf clothing is cut for growing bodies and movement. Look for stretch fabrics, breathable polos, a waterproof layer and a cap or visor, and check the dress code of your club.
