Platform Terms

These Platform Terms are the master agreement governing everyone who uses Family Golf Club’s services. If a specific addendum applies to you — the Membership Terms, Coach Terms, Partner Club/Federation Terms, or Sponsor Terms — that addendum applies in addition to, not instead of, these Platform Terms. Where an addendum conflicts with these Platform Terms on a point specific to that relationship, the addendum controls.

1. Who we are

Family Golf Club (“FGC”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a European junior golf membership organisation and platform, operated by Famico VšĮ (“Famico”), a non-profit public institution (viešoji įstaiga) registered in the Republic of Lithuania. The FamilyGolf.club brand and trademark are owned by Famico. Our contact email is [email protected].

“The website” means familygolf.club and all associated subdomains. “The services” means the website, the FGC app, the achievement and recognition system, the WhatsApp community groups, Family Cup events, the annual Championship, the Guide, the newsletter, and all other products and programmes we operate, whether accessed directly or through a partner club, federation, or coach.

2. Roles

These terms use the following defined roles. Not every role is active yet — some (Coach, Partner Federation, Sponsor) describe relationships FGC is building toward, and the corresponding addenda will apply once those features launch.

• Member — an adult (18+) who holds a paid family membership and accepts these terms on behalf of their family.
• Junior Profile — a child or teenager whose activity is tracked within a Member’s family account. A Junior Profile is never itself an account holder and cannot independently accept these terms, log in without the family account, or hold its own credentials.
• Coach — an individual granted limited, Member-authorised visibility into one or more Junior Profiles’ recognition data, under the Coach Terms addendum (not yet in general use).
• Partner Club — a golf club with a badge, recognition, or event-hosting relationship with FGC, under the Partner Club Terms addendum.
• Partner Federation — a national or regional golf federation with a data or programme relationship with FGC, under the Partner Federation Terms addendum (not yet in general use).
• Sponsor — a brand with a visibility, rewards, or event-sponsorship relationship with FGC, under the Sponsor Terms addendum (not yet in general use).
• Visitor — anyone browsing the website without an account.

3. Acceptance of terms

By accessing the website, registering an account, joining a WhatsApp community group, purchasing a membership, or using any part of the services in any role above, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Platform Terms, the applicable role-specific addendum, our Privacy Policy, our Children & Parental Consent Notice (if you hold a family account with Junior Profiles), and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

4. Account structure and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to register any account with FGC, in any role. A family membership is sold to the family unit as a whole; the Member is the adult account holder who accepts these terms on behalf of all family members, including any Junior Profiles. Junior Profiles participate under the supervision and legal responsibility of the Member. No Junior Profile may register its own account, accept these terms, or authenticate independently of the family account — see our Children & Parental Consent Notice for how this works in practice.

5. User conduct

You agree not to use the services to post, share or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or harassing. You agree not to impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation. You agree not to use the services to advertise or solicit business without FGC’s prior written consent. You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the services or to any other account. FGC reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that breaches these conduct requirements, in any role, without refund of fees already paid.

6. Intellectual property

All content on the FGC website and app — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, achievement and recognition system design, and software — is the property of Famico or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from any FGC content without our prior written permission.

Where you submit or tag photographs, videos, or other content in relation to FGC events or services, you grant FGC a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content for the purpose of promoting the services, subject to the imagery-specific terms in our Children & Parental Consent Notice and, where applicable, event participation terms.

7. Third-party services

The services integrate with or link to third-party platforms including WhatsApp (Meta), payment processors, event-scoring tools, and affiliated golf camps and clubs. FGC is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party service. Your use of WhatsApp community groups is subject to Meta’s terms of service and privacy policy in addition to these terms. Your use of any affiliated golf camp or club is subject to that venue’s own terms and conditions. 8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FGC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the services, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of enjoyment. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the services shall not exceed the total fees you paid to FGC in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100 if you have paid no fees. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Platform Terms, or any addendum, from time to time. We will notify affected users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect, unless a shorter period is required to address a legal or security requirement. Updating one addendum does not require re-notice under the other addenda. The current version of each document is always available on our Legal & Privacy page, with its own effective date shown at the top. Your continued use of the services after an update’s effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Any disputes arising from these terms or the services are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lithuania. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also have rights under your local consumer protection law that are unaffected by this clause.
