Golf Grows Girls

Let’s make your next award ceremony magnificent

Not a charity.

A funded track inside The Family Golf Club — removing barriers for girls to enter and stay in golf across Europe and beyond.

Social Mission

Golf Grows Girls removes the networking barrier first.

Why it exists

Girls drop out of golf at 12–14. We fix that.

Girls drop out of golf at a significantly higher rate than boys at the age of 12–14. The reasons are structural: perceived cost, lack of female role models, course culture that feels unwelcoming, and a sport that defaults to catering for middle-aged men.

Golf Grows Girls removes the networking barrier first. Sponsor funding covers TFGC membership for girls. They get the app, the leaderboard, the Family Cup events, and the community. They see other girls. They stay.

Beyond membership, the programme licenses its retention framework to national golf federations — particularly those struggling with girls aged 10–16.

How it works in practice

①  Sponsors fund TFGC memberships at €39/month per girl
②  Girls are nominated by partner clubs and federation coaches
③  Sponsored girls access everything full members do — app, leaderboards, Family Cup events, Championships
④  Impact is measured: memberships funded, girls retained at 12 months, events entered
⑤  Federations license the framework to run their own retention programmes

Programme highlights

Governance & credibility

The programme aligns with the R&A’s Girls Golf Rocks initiative and extends its reach at the membership and community level.

Federation licensing

Cyprus Golf Federation is the first national federation to pilot the programme. Others across Southern Europe and the Middle East are in discussion.

Annual recognition

The Golf Grows Girls Impact Award is presented each year at the TFGC Championship gala, recognising the sponsor or club that has done most for girls’ golf.

€39 a month funds one girl’s full membership.

App, live leaderboards, Family Cup events, and Championship qualification path. Everything a paying family gets — funded by your sponsorship. Measurable impact. Real recognition.

What your sponsorship does

Girls nominated by partner clubs and federation coaches receive a fully funded TFGC membership — the same membership that paying families receive. They get access to the app, live leaderboards, Family Cup events, and the annual Championship qualification pathway. The cost barrier is removed entirely.
