For Golf Clubs

Family Golf Club Index

The independent ranking system for family-friendly golf clubs across Europe. First rankings published in 2027.

01

Family Golf Awards

The annual recognition programme for Europe’s most family-friendly golf clubs. Independently evaluated. First awards ceremony 2027.

02

Verified family reviews

Only confirmed visits from Family Golf Club member families count. No unverified submissions, no self-reported scores.

03

8-dimension scoring system

A weighted model across eight criteria produces a single comparable Index Score per club.

04

Annual independent recalibration

Rankings reset and recalculate every year. Every club re-earns its position based on the current season’s data.

How it works

The standard for family golf club quality

The Family Golf Club Index evaluates golf clubs based on how they perform for families in real conditions — not marketing claims.

Each year, the Family Golf Club evaluates clubs using a multi-source scoring system:

  • Family reviews from verified visits
  • Club-submitted data across key facilities and access points
  • Independent third-party ratings for the broader context

These inputs are combined into a single Family Golf Club Index Score, ensuring every ranking reflects both real experience and measurable standards.

The results are published annually and celebrated at the Family Golf Awards©. The award is the recognition that matters — earned through scoring, not purchased through sponsorship.

Each year, the Family Golf Club independently evaluates golf clubs across Europe using the Family Golf Club Index — an 8-dimension scoring system based on verified family reviews, club-submitted data, and third-party ratings. Clubs that meet the threshold are awarded the Family-Friendly Golf Club Badge for that year.

It’s a physical certification sticker — designed to be displayed at your entrance, your reception, and your pro shop. What it tells families: this club has been independently verified as one of the most welcoming, well-equipped, and genuinely family-oriented golf clubs in Europe.

For your club

A visible, independent endorsement that no marketing budget can replicate. Families searching for golf-friendly venues trust third-party verification over self-promotion.

For your members

A signal to existing members with children that your club takes junior and family golf seriously — reinforcing retention and encouraging whole-family participation.

For new families

When a family walks past your entrance and sees the badge, they know before they ask. It removes the hesitation that keeps golf-curious families from walking through the door.
