Mother’s Day Golf Introduction
On 10 May 2026, the Family Golf Club hosted one of its most heartwarming events of the season at the Royal Malta Golf Club — a special Mother’s Day Golf Introduction designed exclusively for the non-golfing mothers of junior golfers.
While many of these amazing moms spend countless hours supporting their children from the sidelines, this event gave them a unique opportunity to step onto the golf course themselves and experience firsthand the game their children love so much.
The result was an afternoon filled with laughter, learning, new friendships, and a deeper appreciation for the sport that brings so many families together.
From Spectators to Golfers
For many participants, it was their very first time holding a golf club.
Under the guidance of experienced coaches and enthusiastic junior golfers, the mothers were introduced to the fundamentals of the game, including putting, chipping, and full swings.
What started with a little nervousness quickly turned into smiles and confidence as golf balls began finding their targets and participants discovered just how enjoyable the game can be.
Many of the juniors were especially proud to see their mothers taking on the challenge, offering encouragement and even a few coaching tips of their own.

Celebrating the Heroes Behind Every Junior Golfer
Every successful junior golfer has a support team behind them, and very often that team starts with Mom.
Whether driving to early morning practice sessions, attending tournaments, managing schedules, or providing encouragement after a difficult round, mothers play an invaluable role in their children’s golfing journey.
This event was designed as a small way to say “thank you” and to celebrate the incredible contribution that mothers make to the growth and development of young golfers.
Discovering a New Passion
One of the highlights of the day was seeing how quickly many participants embraced the game.
From the excitement of a well-struck shot to the satisfaction of sinking a long putt, the mothers experienced many of the moments that keep golfers coming back to the course.
For some, this introduction may have been the beginning of their own golfing journey, opening the door to a sport that can be enjoyed together as a family for years to come.
Sharing Stories and Building Friendships
Beyond the golf activities, the event created an opportunity for mothers to connect with one another, share experiences, and celebrate their children’s achievements.
The relaxed and welcoming atmosphere at Royal Malta Golf Club provided the perfect setting for conversations, laughter, and new friendships to flourish.
It was a reminder that golf is not only about the game itself but also about the community that grows around it.
Smiles That Made Mother’s Day Special
The event gallery beautifully captures the spirit of the day: proud moms, supportive juniors, first golf swings, and plenty of joyful moments shared between families.
Every photograph tells the story of mothers stepping out of their comfort zones, trying something new, and creating memories alongside their children.
A Mother’s Day to Remember
The Mother’s Day Golf Introduction was more than a golf clinic. It was a celebration of family, gratitude, and togetherness.
The Family Golf Club would like to thank all the wonderful mothers who participated and made the event so special. Their enthusiasm, positivity, and willingness to try something new created an unforgettable day for everyone involved.
At the heart of every Family Golf Club event is the belief that golf has the power to bring generations together, and on this Mother’s Day, that belief was stronger than ever.
Here’s to all the golf moms who support, inspire, and encourage the next generation of golfers every single day.
Happy Mother’s Day!
