Online Junior Golf Coaches, Checked One by One

Swing, strategy, mental game and nutrition — a short list of coaches who offer genuine online sessions, verified directly against their own websites. No rankings, no pay-to-list spots, no guesswork.

How we put this list together

Junior golf families are looking for online coaches in swing, strategy, mental game and nutrition, and it’s hard to tell a genuine specialist from a directory listing that’s gone stale. So we checked each one directly.

Every coach on this page met two simple tests:

  • They confirm a real online or remote delivery format on their own website — not just an in-person academy with a contact form.
  • We verified the details ourselves, directly on their site, rather than copying them from another directory.

This is a first pass, not a finished map of Europe. Most of the coaches we could verify this way are UK-based; we found strong online mental-game coaches in Belgium and Germany too, but genuinely online swing, strategy and nutrition specialists in the rest of Europe were harder to confirm. We’ll keep adding to this list as we verify more.

None of the coaches below are Family Golf Club partners. We don’t receive any commission or fee for including them, and being listed here isn’t an endorsement of any specific coach for your child — it’s a starting point for your own research. Please confirm pricing, availability and fit directly with the coach before booking.

Swing Coaching

These coaches review swing video remotely and work with families over ongoing online sessions — useful between in-person lessons, or if there’s no junior-friendly coach nearby.

Swing Quest (Peter Finch Golf)

Best suited to

General audience — not age-segmented on the site

Category

Strategy & Course Management

A coach who explains how to plot a round — not just how to swing — is genuinely hard to find as a standalone online service. This is the one we could confirm.

Adam Young Golf — Online Coaching

United Kingdom

Adam Young is a golf coach and researcher in motor learning, author of the international best-seller The Practice Manual. His remote coaching includes structured online courses with a dedicated module on on-course decision-making, alongside the technical and practice side of the game.

Format

Remote coaching plans, plus structured 8-day/8-week online courses

Best suited to

Older, more experienced juniors, given the technical depth (roughly age 13+)

Category

Mental Game

This turned out to be the most developed online category in Europe, and the credentials vary — some are chartered psychologists, others are certified mental-performance coaches. We’ve noted the difference on each card so you can judge what matters for your family.

Dan Abrahams — Mental Golf Coach

England

Dan Abrahams is an HCPC-registered Sport Psychologist and former Lead Psychologist for England Golf. His work is explicit about including parents alongside players, from grassroots level through to elite competition.

Louisa Kottmann — Golf Mental Coaching

Bremen, Germany

Louisa Kottmann trained as a Sport Mental Coach at the Heimsoeth Academy and works with amateur and professional golfers, offering sessions live or online, in German. Her site doesn’t describe a junior-specific programme, so it’s worth asking directly about experience with younger players.

Format

Live or online, 1:1 mental coaching

Credential

Certified Sport Mental Coach (coaching certification, not a clinical psychology qualification)

Mental Golf Coach — Will Kelly

Edinburgh, Scotland

Will Kelly works with competitive golfers on the mental side of the game — focus, confidence and reducing overthinking during a round. He offers individual online sessions and a year-round coaching subscription with live calls and a video library. His site doesn’t state a formal psychology qualification, so it’s worth asking directly about his training and approach before booking.

Format

1:1 online sessions, plus an ongoing coaching subscription

Credential

Mental performance coach — no chartered psychology qualification stated

Category

Nutrition

We couldn’t confirm a golf-specific junior nutritionist offering a genuine online service anywhere in Europe in this pass. Both coaches below are registered sports nutritionists who work across several sports rather than golf alone.

The Sports Dietitian — Alex Cook

Marlow, England

Alex Cook is a registered sports dietitian with 20 years’ experience, including NHS work in eating disorders. She explicitly works with junior athletes on fuelling for training and competition, and her background makes her a thoughtful, safety-conscious choice for a young athlete’s nutrition.

Format

12-week one-to-one personalised online nutrition coaching

Best suited to

Junior athletes through to adult competitive athletes; not golf-specific

Fuelled by Fleming — James Fleming

England

James Fleming is a registered Sport and Exercise Nutritionist working across rugby, football, biathlon, golf and running. His site doesn’t advertise online delivery directly, so it’s best to contact him first to confirm remote sessions are available before assuming so.

Format

Contact directly to confirm — no public online booking page found

Best suited to

Young athletes generally; not golf-specific

Also Worth Knowing About

Online Junior Golf Academy — one team, several disciplines

Most families end up piecing together a swing coach, a mental coach and a nutritionist separately. Online Junior Golf Academy is a UK-formed team that offers a single remote programme spanning strategy, mental skills, nutrition and lifestyle, built specifically for junior golfers and their parents.

A note on tone: this programme’s own marketing leans heavily toward competitive pathways and college recruitment. That framing may suit a family with those specific goals, but it isn’t the language we’d use ourselves — so read their site with your own family’s goals in mind, not just theirs.

For Coaches

Offer online junior golf coaching? Ask to be listed.

If you coach swing, strategy, mental game or nutrition online and work with junior golfers, tell us about it below. There’s no fee to apply and no guarantee of a listing — we check every submission directly against your own website or credentials before adding it, the same way we checked everyone already on this page.

Before you apply: we’re only listing coaches who offer a genuine online or remote delivery format, not an in-person academy with a contact form. We’ll only use the details below to review your listing and get in touch — nothing is published without you knowing first.
Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does Family Golf Club endorse or partner with these coaches?

No. None of the coaches on this page are Family Golf Club partners, and we don’t receive any fee or commission for listing them. This is a starting point for your own research, not a recommendation of one coach over another for your specific child.

Why are most of the coaches based in the UK?

Because that’s where we could verify genuine online delivery directly on a coach’s own website. We found strong mental-game coaches in Belgium and Germany too, but confirming a truly remote swing, strategy or nutrition specialist elsewhere in Europe proved harder in this pass. We’re continuing to look, and we’ll add coaches as we verify them.

What does the “Verified” date on each card mean?

It means we checked that coach’s details directly against their own official website as of that date. It doesn’t mean we’ve spoken to them personally, or that Family Golf Club has any relationship with them — just that the information shown here was accurate when we last checked it.

How do I know if a coach is right for my child?

Ask directly about their experience with junior golfers specifically, not just golfers in general, and ask how a first session works. For mental game coaching, it’s worth knowing whether you’re speaking with a chartered psychologist or a certified performance coach — both can be valuable, but they’re different qualifications, and we’ve noted the distinction on each card.

Do I need an online coach if my junior already has a club coach?

Not necessarily. Most families use these as a supplement — for a mental-game or nutrition specialist their home club doesn’t have, or for continuity when travelling. A good online coach should ask about, and ideally support, whatever your junior’s regular coach is already working on.

Know a coach we should check, or are you a coach yourself?

If you’re a parent, tell us about them via the form below and we’ll take a look. If you’re the coach, please apply directly using the same form — either way, we only add a coach once we’ve verified their details ourselves, the same way we did for everyone on this page.

Are you a coach, or know one we’ve missed? Ask to be listed — we reply within 3 working days.

Whoever your junior works with, the progress is worth recognising.

The Family Golf Club app follows growth across eight areas of the game — including confidence, commitment and growth mindset — so whatever a coach helps your junior work on, it’s noticed at home too.
